5th Africa Dialogue Platform on Anticipatory Humanitarian Action

28 June 2022

The 5th Africa Dialogue Platform will take place in a hybrid format, with studios in Nairobi and Johannesburg and many sessions being held online from June 28-30 2022. This year’s theme is ‘From dialogue to action: advancing joint goals towards Africa’s anticipatory action roadmap’.

With an emphasis on cooperation and collaboration, the ADP will jointly explore how anticipatory action initiatives in Africa are contributing to global ambitions and - vice versa - how global initiatives could be informed and shaped by national and regional ambitions on anticipatory action.

Start Network is among the co-organizers for the event, along with the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations, the IGAD Climate Prediction and Applications Centre, the Kenya Red Cross Society, and the World Food Programme.
