The impact of locally-driven humanitarian action - Start Fund Bangladesh

24 March 2021

Dhaka - Online

Start Fund Bangladesh and our members held a celebration of the impact of locally-led humanitarian action. The event has taken place and the recording is available here.

Since 2017, with support from UK Aid, Start Fund Bangladesh has provided £6.85 million in anticipatory and rapid emergency response funding to 29 under the radar emergencies, reaching 757,475 people directly and an additional six million people indirectly through awareness-raising activities.

Through this experience, Start Fund Bangladesh and our members have generated important lessons, best practices and evidence on the impact of early response, anticipation and locally-led funds.

The event was online and through presentations and discussion, the event aimed to share the achievements and future ambition of Start Fund Bangladesh, as well as the lessons, best practices, and evidence.
