The Start Network is leading for change in humanitarian aid. Join this webinar to hear about how we aim to change the global aid system and our how our work in the last year has helped us move one step closer to our vision for a new way of delivering aid.
The Start Network is made up of more than 40 national and international aid agencies from five continents. Our aim is to deliver effective aid, harnessing the power and knowledge of the network to make faster and better decisions to help people affected by crises.
At Start Network, we believe that the current international humanitarian system is no longer fit for purpose. And so we aim to collaborate in building a more equitable, connected and agile global aid system, one that driven by the needs of people affected by crises. We work in three areas;
- Localisation: We believe a more balanced system, that shifts power to those closest to the front line will generate more effective and appropriate responses for people affected by crises.
- New financing: We believe that by understanding the risks we face and providing fast, early, and dependable funding, communities can be better prepared and more resilient to crises.
- Collective innovation: We believe that by innovating collectively, we can share expertise, insights and perspectives to shape a more effective humanitarian system.
Ultimately, our aim is to create a system in which more lives can be saved in times of crisis.
