Start Network Humanitarian Hub introduction Democratic Republic of Congo

The purpose of this meeting is to shape together the value, objectives, challenges and impact of coming together to form a DRC Humanitarian Hub, in partnership with other diverse networks and stakeholders.

Participants will present about their organisation’s mission, consider how working in a network can help them, and will propose what they would like to prioritise in a DRC humanitarian hub.

The programme will be as follows:

Day 1 - Why

  • - Understanding and discussing the Start Network and our mission
  • - Understanding and discussing the humanitarian system in DRC and opportunities/barriers to change
  • - Understanding and discussing why we want to work together to create the change needed

Day 2 - How

  • - Build a shared story of what we’ve achieved together three years from now
  • - Define where we want to be in 9 months
  • - Define and plan small experiments that help build the foundations for, and confidence in, achieving our vision
  • - Discuss a ToR for Hub Realisation Team
  • - Discuss next steps in the process
  • - Discuss what support is needed from Start Network global
  • - Discuss the role of the DRC hub discussion in next Assembly
