On behalf of the partners implementing the £40m DFID-funded Disasters and Emergencies Preparedness Programme (DEPP), Action Against Hunger UK (ACF-UK) is recruiting for a team to lead the three year evaluation.

The DEPP represents an innovative collaboration over three years between Start Network, CDAC-Network and DFID. The DEPP aims to strengthen humanitarian capacity across the system with a focus on local humanitarian workers at the national level.

The evaluation will take place over three years with the following aims: (i) to improve the programme’s effectiveness on a continuous basis, and to enhance learning; and (ii) to provide an overall assessment of the extent to which the DEPP has provided an effective approach to strengthening response capacity. This will be one of the most important analyses of humanitarian capacity development undertaken to date.

The start date of the evaluation is intended for April 13, 2015 and should run through to March 31, 2018.

Please visit the ACF-UK recruitment page access the full Call for Expression of Interest and Evaluation Terms of Reference.

The deadline for applications is March 28, 2015.
