Start Fund Training
We offer members a range of training sessions on various aspects of the Start Fund. These include inductions on the Start Fund mechanism and its niche, alert notes, preparation for anticipation and response actions, successful proposals design and project reporting, as well as cross-learning between regions and countries.
Online Start Fund training sessions
The Start Fund team has scheduled a series of training on the different stages of the Start Fund Alert Cycle in the course of 2022 in order to:
- Support and encourage our members’ access to the Start Fund.
- Increase the effectiveness and quality of Start Fund projects.
- Collect feedback from members on how we can adapt and improve the Start Fund process.
These live training sessions are organised in several languages within the whole year as per this schedule.
Start Fund Training Videos ENG / FR / ES
The Start Fund has created eight short videos on the Start Fund Alert Cycle. These videos include step-by-step guidance and useful tips and will allow you to develop a better understanding of the different stages of the alert cycle, for both anticipation and response alerts.
Resource sharing
One of the methods to enhance Start Fund’s capacity is to share available resources, tools, and experiences among members. To do so there are various sources within Start Network that are divided according to the relevant financial instruments.

The Start Fund e-courses
Crisis Anticipation and Action: this e-course builds SN members’ understanding of the Start Fund's proactive approach to providing humanitarian aid. This includes what crisis anticipation is and the elements to consider when raising a crisis anticipation alert.
Customised event
Start Network can provide a customised session, course or any capacity development activity that will enhance the knowledge of its members and local partners on Start Fund either for a particular context or for a general global one. Members can reach the team directly for such events.
