Summary

Anticipation Tool Grants enable Start Network members to access up to £40,000 for developing analysis tools to support anticipation of crises.

These tools will be used by Start Network members and other humanitarians to support the anticipation of crises, raise Start Fund Anticipation Alerts and trigger action through other available anticipatory resources.

These tools are demand-driven, meaning that members at a national level identify the “impact objective” of the tool, outlining the gap the tool will look to fill to enable anticipatory action and to avoid losses. Start Network encourages local in-country technical partnerships for tools, but can also broker partnerships with technical experts from the FOREWARN community.

Members are highly encouraged to collaborate together for tools applications that will benefit the whole network in a country where possible and involving local and national CSOs and organisations and partners.

If you have any questions or want to find out more email the Start Network team at anticipation@startprogrammes.org. There will be Q&A drop-in sessions to answer any questions you may have.
