The e-learnings and other online resources available on this page are aimed at understanding the Start Fund, a pooled fund for Start Network members to act in anticipation or early response to overlooked and underfunded crises.
The following resources provide Start Network members an overview of Start Fund processes and advice on developing Start Fund Alerts and Projects.
Our 2025 training offer includes:
• Start Fund Essentials is a 4-module course for Start Network Members to complete before they access the Global Start Fund.
• This self-guided course will build your understanding of the Start Fund. A rapid anticipation and response pooled fund, which provides fast, flexible funding to underfunded and overlooked crises.
• The 4-part course is recommended for any Start Network members who want to access the Global Start Fund.
• The course is already published in English and can be accessed via the link below. The Spanish and French translation will be available by April 2025.
The Start Fund Training Programme 2025 covers the different stages of the Start Fund Alert Cycle in order to:
• Support and encourage our members’ access to the Start Fund.
• Increase the effectiveness and quality of Start Fund projects.
• Collect feedback from members on how we can adapt and improve the Start Fund process.
These live training sessions are organised in several languages throughout the year.
We have created eight short videos on the Start Fund Alert Cycle. These include step-by-step guidance and useful tips and will give you a better understanding of the different stages of the alert cycle, for both anticipation and response alerts.
