Learn at the 2018 Assembly: DEPP Innovation Labs
The Start Network Assembly is the network's highest governing body, made up of representatives from each member agency. The Assembly is taking place this week in Bonn, Germany, kindly hosted by Network member Welthungerhilfe.
The Assembly is an opportunity to come together to learn how the network has progressed over the past six months; build on the learning to tackle shared challenges, and make decisions on the Network’s future and strategic direction.
Below is the learn presentation for the Disasters and Emergencies Preparedeness Programme Innovation Labs (DEPP Labs).
Learn about DEPP Labs
The DEPP Innovation Labs supports local-level innovation to strengthen disaster preparedness. The programme aims to build solutions with communities at risk of crises to reduce the risk they face and to protect lives.
The Labs are based in Bangladesh, Jordan, Kenya, Philippines. The programme was launched in 2017 and will end in 2019.
Our presentation below describes how user designed approaches are empowering people and driving innovation to benefit their local communities. During 2019 we aim to design a process that will enable innovators to scale these innovations up.
