Senior Membership and Relationship Manager
As Senior Membership and Relationship Manager, you will oversee the growth and diversification of the network's membership. This includes developing membership strategies, ensuring hubs have the infrastructure to manage local member intakes, improving the membership process, upholding standards, and updating membership policies.
You will manage member engagement to maximise their benefits from Start Network's services. This involves creating a Member Engagement Strategy, involving members in decision-making, organising network events, collecting and utilising member feedback, handling membership fees, and addressing member-related incidents.
You will also lead the design and implementation of a transition plan for the network's membership structure, aligned with decentralisation goals. This includes designing the new structure, supporting hubs in establishing their governance frameworks, managing the change process, and ensuring legal compliance.
Additionally, the role requires active participation in senior management decisions, representing the membership team at committee and board meetings, and budget management. It also involves line management responsibilities, including recruitment and fostering an inclusive team culture.

The ideal candidate for this role will have experience in stakeholder management within a membership organisation or network. They must excel in strategic planning with acute attention to detail, capable of crafting actionable strategic documents. Demonstrated collaboration skills, including building and maintaining cross-organisational relationships, are crucial. Strong communication, creative problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to work under pressure to meet deadlines are required. Experience in project and people management, as well as familiarity with change management approaches for complex organisational initiatives, is necessary.
