A delegation of Start Network members is attending UAE’s Dubai International Humanitarian and Development Exhibition and Conference - DIHAD.
The conference, taking place from 21-23 March, provides an important platform for the Start Network to engage with humanitarian actors from the Middle East and beyond.
The Start Network has participated for five years, although this will be the second year that the Network is represented by a large delegation and has a centrally located, branded stand.
The Start Network is in an excellent position with the Middle Eastern humanitarian community. In 2015 we welcomed the CEO of the Dubai International Humanitarian City onto the Start Network Board of Trustees, and accepted our first Middle Eastern member – Qatar Charity. Start will also be hosting its first international Board meeting at the IHC on Sunday 20 March, to coincide with DIHAD.
Start’s presence at DIHAD this year enables members to strengthen these pre-existing relationships, forge new relationships, and introduce current Network members to opportunities in the region.
