HNPW Key Takeaways ICR

HNPW Session: Recovering costs sharing: An important step in rebalancing power and creating a more inclusive system This panel session explored indirect recovery costs (ICR) and how they are shared with local and national actors. It is important that these power inequalities are addressed as ICR sharing is a tangible step to have a better share of power and push toward a locally-led humanitarian system

Start Network joins the 2022 Humanitarian Networks and Partnership Week to discuss indirect cost recovery between local and international actors.

Six panelists spoke during the session, sharing their experiences of ICR across the sector. Panelists were: Sajid Raihan (Start Fund Bangladesh Country manager); Fhakrul Islam (Start Fund Bangladesh Partnership coordinator); Mostak Hussain (Humanitarian Director at Save the Children Bangladesh); Jahin Shams Sakkhar (Program Development Specialist); Fran Girling (Senior Policy and Engagement Advisor at Development Initiatives); Stephen Williams (Advisor to the Foreign Commonwealth and Development Office).
