Start Network welcomes new Treasurer

Start Network is pleased to welcome Glyn Isherwood as its new Treasurer and independent trustee. Glyn is currently the Chief Financial Officer at the BBC.

Start Network is pleased to welcome Glyn Isherwood as its new Treasurer and independent trustee. 

Glyn is currently the Chief Financial Officer at the BBC. He is an experienced finance director and has provided long-term financial strategy and ensured business performance of many creative and digital organisations. He trained as a Chartered Accountant at KPMG where he specialised in audits and has previously occupied a number of trustee roles in the humanitarian sector as Treasurer of Amnesty International UK and as a Trustee for UNICEF UK and BBC’s Children in Need. 

Glyn is passionate in supporting the humanitarian agenda, and excited to join the Start Network Board at this stage in the network’s evolution:

Start Network has developed a unique approach to meeting some of the immense challenges for humanity. I look forward to working with the Board and Executive team to ensure Start Network delivers on its ambition and drives positive change in lives across the world. In his role as Chair of Start Network's Finance & Audit Committee, Glyn will continue to be supported by the Committee’s Vice-Chair Anwer Iqbal, CFO of HANDS Pakistan.
